During the last 6 months I have been using Modere products to help with my overall well-being.

In September 2015 I was selected to play for the Australian women’s under 18 indoor cricket team. Prior to the carnival, I was faced with a major setback – tearing the ligaments off of my right thumb – an injury that would have me sitting out for a minimum of 6 weeks.

The orthopedic surgeon was hopeful that I could possibly play the World Cup, but he wasn’t at all 100 percent sure I would get there. So once the surgery had taken place, Mum had contacted Melissa Dowling to get me onto the Modere products. At first Mum and I were a little skeptical about the natural healing products; but we really had nothing to lose. I started taking an Anti-Inflammatory, Muscle and Bone Nutrition, Antioxidant, Hair, Skin and Nails and the Mineral Supplement… I am pleased to say that my healing time was shorter than predicted; the occupational therapists said my bones were strong and the muscles moving and healing better than expected. So after the 6 weeks of Modere (plus occupational therapy and adequate rest), I was allowed to play the World Cup! I played in 7 of the 11 games, which is far more than I had hoped for. The thumb is fully healed and continues to get stronger.

Modere has also not only helped me recover physically, it has helped me mentally too. I stressed a lot about grade 12 assignments and exams. Third term exams had come around which is the most demanding period of high school life, and I managed to get through. I’m convinced the Modere products helped me stay relaxed and kept my mind at ease.

I recently suffered a head cold, and anyone who knows me knows that if I get a head cold, watch out! She is going to be sick for at least a week and a half! But with the Modere products, I recovered in rapid time.

One more thing! I have suffered from bloating and a silly stomach for a long time, and I have recently started taking the Modere Probiotic and it has been working wonders for me. I no longer have a huge stomach after eating a heavy carb meal such as pasta and bread, which we athletes tend to eat a lot of whilst on tour.

After receiving a sponsorship with Modere, I am now taking a list of recommended supplements. After the World Cup in Brisbane I was diagnosed with tendonitis in my right elbow on both sides (golfers elbow – inside half & tennis elbow – outside half). Normally tendonitis stays to one side of the elbow, but knowing me – it’s go big or go home, right? Tendonitis is the inflammation of tendons when overworked and can cause high amounts of pain, and the silly part about it is that there is no cure for it. The injury has caused me to take a break from cricket for 6 months to recover and let it heal over time. So to help the healing process I am taking Anti-Inflammatory and EFA Krill which are working wonders with the inflammation along with my normal doses of Adult Multivitamin Plus Botanicals, Probiotic and D3 Plus. So far so good with the elbow and it has been almost 5 months – Howzat?!
